A very representative route of the La Rioja mountain range that includes the best of its landscapes, forests and fauna. Visit 14 villages well known for their uniqueness, in addition to the monasteries of San Millán de la Cogolla and Valvanera.

It is a self-guided route that can be done as a group, as a solo or as a couple. The organization provides maps, gps, baggage transport and assistance at any point along the route. Accommodations include rural houses and hotels, as well as the Monastery of Valvanera. It is also possible to add services of restoration, visits to wineries or observation of fauna (depending on the time of year). The route crosses very diverse landscapes, reaching to surpass the 1,700 m. of altitude.

The "Way of the Serranos" recreates the paths used by the villages of La Rioja mountain to trade with the valley and the plateau. In "Venta de Goyo", point of departure and arrival, these arrieros serranos shared lodging and puchero with merchants, traffickers and travelers. The route crosses the Sierra de la Demanda and reaches the first vineyards in San Millán and then return to the Sierra de Cameros.

Well signposted and based on GR 93 and 190, oral tradition places in these places, some of the original stories of La Rioja.
