Pedals Granada is a route organized mountain bike around the perimeter of Sierra Nevada, taking advantage of the infrastructure of rural tourism in the area, tracks, paths and roads that connect them, covering the two most important regions in the area, La Alpujarra and the Marquess of Zenete.

The route offers a fascinating adventure staged in one of the most important wildlife sites in Europe: Sierra Nevada, home to the highest peaks of the Peninsula. Biosphere Unesco National Park and Preserve.

We tour the perimeter so important massif and meet two of the most breathtaking regions of Spain: Las Alpujarras and the Marquesado del Zenete.

All through 235 Kms. And 6,100 meters of altitude that we can adapt to your possibilities of time and fitness.

The tour starts in Nigüelas at the foot of Sierra Nevada. From there cycle along the south side of Sierra Nevada entering in laAlpujarra lungs of Granada, the region consists mainly of a series of valleys and ravines that descend from the peaks of Sierra Nevada, the Mediterranean Sea.

A 2,000 m cross the port of Ragua to delve and explore the north of the Sierra Nevada, and gradually we get into part of the Sierra de Huétor us back to Granada.

Whoever does Capileira end of stage and stay one more day, we offer the option to upload pedaling along a track until the 3,396 m. Pico Veleta.

We pass by the lagoon Caldera (3,040 m) at the foot of the peak mythical Mulhacén and when we crown our bike the top of Veleta, enjoy the majestic views offered throughout Sierra Nevada, Granada, and even the neighboring country of Morocco on clear days.

85% of the route runs along paths, trails and unpaved roads. Adventure and enjoyment of enclaves and unique landscapes is guaranteed.

You will be in direct contact with an island of biodiversity. An exceptional physical and human space, full of species, natural wonders and unique cultural heritage, where water is authentic protagonist.

With the lift pass, you will be given a road book with a detailed description of the itinerary.


a minimum of physical condition, at least to make about 40 kilometers a day of mountain biking necessary.

Throughout the tour it is advisable to taste the local cuisine.

Espectacular y sorprendente. Nosotros hicimos la ruta en 4 etapas + Pico Veleta. Antonio Aguilera, responsable de Pedales de Granada, un 10.

Tocar una de las cimas de la peninsula en bici es alucinante y disfrutar de entornos tan diferentes. También permite disfrutar de los pueblos de la alpujarra y Granada. Depende mucho de como haya ido el invierno por el tema de la nieve, y hay que llevar cosas de abrigo por si se tuerce el dia. Antonio Aguilera muy atento.

Ruta preciosa, tienes de todo. Impresiona la entrada en Granada, y dar pedales por esta ciudad es precioso, sobre todo por el albaycin
