DescripciónThe Tour of Aneto is a journey of self-guided mountain that runs through the heart of the Pyrenees, around the massif of the Maladeta, where the southernmost glaciers in Europe is preserved with a total of 115 km and a vertical drop accumulated 11,178 m ( + 5.405m - 5.773m).
In the Tour of Aneto historical cross mountain ports where formerly crossed the Pyrenees. We will stay in modern establishments were former "hospitals" (inns) founded in the twelfth century by the order of the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem, which facilitated the mountain passes in this area.
Will visit five valleys of the Pyrenees: Benasque, Castanesa, Barravés, Aran Valley and the Valley of Luchon, through six necks: Còth de l'infern of 2397m, 2065m Còth dera Montjoia of Puerto de Benasque of 2444m, Collada de Basibé 2280 m, Coll de Salinas of 2177m and Puerto de Vielha of 2,442 m, with a variety of landscapes, a unique natural and cultural heritage.
